Visitors flock from around the world to take photos with the Beverly Hills monument sign. This sign was one of the earliest and most prominent focal points of the park, and was removed decades ago due to lack of maintenance. In yet another testament to the community’s dedication to philanthropy, it was recently replaced under the leadership of resident and author Robert Anderson, with funding from the Rotary Club of Beverly Hills. A low and tranquil water feature is currently located in front of the sign. Like the sign, the Lily Pond originally in front of it disappeared, filled where a raised lawn now resides. This central block features additional key elements including a nearly century-old fig tree and “The Drummer” bronze part of the hare series by celebrated irish sculptor Barry Flanagan.
