Doheny Drive to Oakhurst Drive. Where Beverly Hills meets West Hollywood, along
Doheny Drive, this stretch of the park serves as the City’s eastern gateway. Set amidst lawn,
trees and a flowering planting bed along Carmelita Avenue, the Doheny Fountain is the visual
focal piece - a nod, like the street it graces, to a family that figures notably in Beverly Hills
history. This block also features the renowned Beverly Hills shield, announcing arrival
at one of the world’s leading cities and serving as a photo opportunity for the tourists that
have come to see it. The City is currently working on a gateway project at the center
meridian of this block (see photo below) to make this city entrance even more prominent.
This block needs your support to provide significant rehabilitation
and restore Beverly Hills history.
